Well...long silence. Then a long silence followed by an announcement and another silence.
Where to start...
When I was last posting, I lived in the USA, was a contract wildland fire fighter for the NPS and had a weekly newsletter published called This Week in Wargaming. I also painted miniatures for a very small client base and had four painters who painted stuff for me...yup crazy. I played at least 26 miniature games and 52 boardgames a year. Had a property that rented out to studios for catalogs, film and television commercials...
All of that is changed...somewhat. A lot. Actually.
My kids are launched and successful <brag>
I retired from wildland fires <stupid decision>
Tried to volunteer for the UK forest service <they didn't know what to think that>.
Married a wonderful Irish woman.
Moved my dogs and my boots and some of my stuff to the UK.
Stopped painting for others <the prices fell out of the bottom of that!>
Got hired by a company to handle security, logistics and operations for the BoD.
Got convinced to run games as Team Building for Companies.
Work for StartPlayingGames.com as a contract game master (the price on that has fallen too but I persevere...it's fun.).
Hike almost every day with my three dogs.
Travel a lot.
An Update:
What did I do last month:
Drove almost 4000 miles around the USA visiting friends, clients and family.
